The Job Zone d'emploi Board of Directors sponsors two client achievement and two employer appreciation awards, annually. Below is a description of the awards and the names of the 2011 recipients...
2011 Client “Persistence” Award - When problems seem insurmountable, quitting seems to be the easiest way out. When success lies just around the corner and that little bit extra would have made the difference- it is the time when it is easiest to throw in the towel. Many people do not succeed, not because they lack knowledge or talent, but because they quit. The power of persistence is the key to success. It is the little bit more, the little bit extra- the one percent that you have done more than the other person- that makes the difference between success and failure. Don't Quit. Persist and succeed. The 2011 recipient of this award is Kevin Cougler. Congratulations!
2011 Client “Attitude” Award - The longer one lives, the more one realizes the impact of attitude on life. Attitude is more important than education, than money, than circumstance, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we have for that day. We cannot change our past…we cannot change the fact that people act in a specific way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is focus on the strength that we have, and that is often times, our attitude. The 2011 recipient of this award is Kali Malyon. Congratulations!
2011 Employer "Power of Giving" Award -This award is to acknowledge an employer who consistently went above and beyond by offering employment opportunities to Job Zone d’emploi participants experiencing difficulties entering the workforce. This employer also supported Job Zone d’emploi participants by providing encouragement and guidance throughout the training period. This employer completed all necessary documentation in a timely manner, as well as provided valuable feedback through regular follow-ups. As a result of this employer’s commitment; these participants are now enjoying the benefits of increased employability skills. The 2011 recipient of this award is Harvey's Restaurant. Congratulations!
