Contact Student Services to access the following specialized workshops, free of charge. Each workshop can be modified to suit the needs of the teacher and their students.   Future Trends
  This workshop is designed to help students plan for their future. Through fun and interactive games and activities, students are exposed to the factors that influence the job market, and provide them with insight as to where the jobs are.

  Hey look what I found, it’s me!!
  This is an interactive, self-awareness workshop, where students learn to identify the various types of skills needed to be successful in the world of work. By completing paper inventories, students explore their individual values, interests, skills and the occupations suited to them.

  Job Maintenance
  Congratulations…you got the job! You were able to make a good first impression and now you need to continue doing so. This workshop is designed to provide students with the tools necessary to be successful in keeping a job and adopting behaviours that reflect a positive attitude at work.

  Job Search
  This all inclusive workshop is created to help students think strategically about their job search. Students are provided with tips and advice on resume and cover letter writing, where and how to look for a job, employer expectations and the do’s and don’ts of interviews.

  Skilled Trades & Apprenticeships
  With the use of hands-on activities, this workshop provides students with an overview of the four sectors of trades, general ideas of what is needed to qualify as an apprentice, the benefits of apprenticeship, what is OYAP?, and how to become an apprentice.
