Backstory:
After arriving in Canada from Ukraine, Oleksandra was determined to return to the pharmacy field she loved. She faced language barriers and a difficult early job experience, but stayed committed to improving her English and exploring local opportunities.

With her perseverance — and a connection made by our Job Developer — Oleksandra secured a permanent part-time Pharmacy Assistant role at a Chesterville pharmacy. She shared that she’s happy in her new position and excited to grow her career here in Canada.

Brock came to Job Zone d’emploi looking for support to start an apprenticeship in the skilled trades. He was especially interested in becoming a Truck and Coach Technician, but without formal training or hands-on experience, he struggled to find an employer willing to take a chance on him.
Big win:
After working with a Job Developer, Brock was successfully placed with Konink Logistics Inc. in Ingleside, Ontario. When his Job Zone d’emploi placement contract ended, he officially registered as a Truck and Coach Apprentice — and is now building a strong future in the trade with Konink.

You’ll first meet with a job counsellor to have a chat about what help you need. Please bring your photo ID, SIN, and if you have a resume, bring that too. If you’re new to Canada, bring your immigration status documents.
Yes! We have offices in Cornwall, Winchester, and Morrisburg. Once a month, we also have pop-up services at the Cornwall Youth Hub.
In Cornwall, yes! We’re around the corner from the main bus stop at Pitt Street and 2nd Street.
No, we’re not a placement agency. We offer a more personal experience with job search guidance, training, resources and connections with employers.

Not necessarily! We can help you identify suitable references.
Yes. You’ll mainly work with one job counsellor. Once you’ve landed a job, another team member will support you for up to 12 months.
