Position Details
Job Overview
-Develop and execute daily and weekly menus for baked goods, hot meals, and take-out items
-Oversee production of scratch-made items including pies, pastries, soups, casseroles, meals,
seasonal dishes, and cheesecakes
-Lead, schedule, and support a small team of cooks and prep staff
-Ensure food quality, portion control, and consistency across all offerings
-Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization, adhering to health and safety standards
-Manage ordering and inventory to minimize waste and ensure fresh, timely ingredients
-Collaborate with ownership on seasonal offerings, customer feedback, and special events
- Occasionally assist with front-of-house operations during peak periods
Work Schedule:
Days, evenings and weekends
Required Skills/Experience
- 3-5+ years of professional kitchen experience; baking experience strongly preferred
- Proven leadership experience in a kitchen or small food service setting
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Passion for home-style cooking, baked goods, and high-quality ingredients
- Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable in a fast-paced, small-team environment
- Food Handler or SERV Safe Certification (or willingness to obtain)
