We provide turnkey supply-chain, crating, packaging, marshalling and logistic services to our clients. Our Igloo team strives to provide excellent customer service support along every step of the way, by planning and paying attention to every detail.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Lead Receiver to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to Lead our receiving team this includes, inspecting and document all incoming building materials and supplies, ensuring accuracy and quality. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, and a solid understanding of construction materials.
Required Skills/Experience
Key Responsibilities:
· Receive and inspect incoming building supplies, verifying quantity, quality, and accuracy against purchase orders.
· Document and record shipments, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed and filed properly.
· Coordinate with our purchasing and sales team to resolve any discrepancies or issues with shipments.
· Safely unload and store materials in designated locations, following proper handling procedures.
· Maintain accurate inventory records and update stock levels in the inventory management system.
· Work closely with warehouse teams to ensure materials are available as needed.
· Adhere to company safety policies and procedures, ensuring a clean and organized receiving area.
· Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move and store materials safely.
· Assist with periodic inventory audits and cycle counts.
· Report damaged or defective materials to management for resolution.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Prior experience in warehouse receiving, logistics, or construction material handling preferred.
· Knowledge of building supplies, materials, and construction processes.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
· Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts (certification is a plus).
· Proficient in inventory management systems and basic computer skills.
· Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
· Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
· Physical ability to lift heavy materials (50+ lbs.) and stand for extended periods.
Work Environment:
· Work is performed in a warehouse or manufacturing setting with exposure to various temperatures, noise levels, and materials.
· May require standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
· Overtime may be required based on order volume and Sealift deadlines.
