David R Coleman General Contractor Ltd is seeking an experienced Carpenter to support residential and/or commercial projects. This role is hands-on and includes framing, finishing, and general site carpentry while maintaining quality, safety, and schedule.

ABOUT THE ROLE
David R Coleman General Contractor Ltd is seeking an experienced Carpenter to support residential and/or commercial projects. This role is hands-on and includes framing, finishing, and general site carpentry while maintaining quality, safety, and schedule.
Work Schedule:
Mon - Fri, 7:00-5:00
Required Skills/Experience
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
·Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and site measurements.
·Perform framing (walls, floors, roofs), formwork, and structural carpentry as required.
·Install doors, windows, trim, cabinets, millwork, hardware, and other finishing components.
·Layout, cut, and assemble materials using hand and power tools.
·Coordinate with the Site Supervisor and other trades to meet schedule milestones.
·Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area; follow all site safety procedures.
·Identify material needs and report shortages, defects, and deficiencies promptly.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
·3+ years of professional carpentry experience (residential and/or commercial).
·Strong knowledge of framing and finishing techniques, materials, and fasteners.
·Ability to accurately measure, square, level, and plumb.
·Proficiency with common carpentry tools and equipment (saws, nailers, levels, lasers, etc.).
·Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders/scaffolding in various weather conditions.
·Reliable transportation to job sites; valid driver’s licence preferred.
·Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and punctual attendance.
PREFERRED ASSETS
·Journeyperson/Red Seal (or equivalent) and/or registered apprenticeship.
·Experience with renovations, custom builds, and high-end finishes.
·Experience with concrete formwork, drywall, and/or flooring installation.
·Fall protection, WHMIS, first aid, or other relevant safety certifications.
·Ability to lead a small crew or mentor apprentices.
