Position Details
Job Overview
* Respond to guest inquiries and questions, providing accurate, courteous and prompt information;
* Provide support in the development and maintenance of digital guest relations systems;
* Contribute to daily management of each social channel and fostering strong online communities focused on events and happenings for the organization’s business units;
* Embody the SLPC’s equity, diversity and inclusion principles while interacting with staff and guests.
Required Skills/Experience
* Willingness and ability to work some evenings, weekends and holidays.
* Demonstrated experience in marketing tourism;
* The ability to acquire knowledge of all attractions and programs to provide accurate information guests;
* Knowledge of or the ability to use reservation systems and other tools such as survey and social media management platforms;
* The ability to use French and English translation and grammar tools;
* Knowledge of customer service principles and sales techniques.
* The ability to execute direct sales strategies;
* Extensive experience in customer sales and service, telemarketing, email, and/or dealing with the public;
* The ability to cooperate as a key team member and provide exceptional customer service;
* The interpersonal skills to deal with guests as well as problem-solving skills to de-escalate and resolve conflicts and to chart a path to resolution when faced with information gaps.
* Advanced knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge of software programs such as Office 365, Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and Sharepoint;
* Social media fluency and experience.
* Good organizational and time management skills;
* Ability to exercise good judgement in handling and/or resolving guest relations issues and identifying those needing to be escalated to senior management;
* Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, prioritize and fulfil internal staff and guest requests.
* Written and oral proficiency in French is an asset.
