Working in this community

North Dundas punches well above its weight. The township is home to one of the largest agri-food clusters east of Toronto — dairy processing, grain and seed operations, agricultural inputs, and farm equipment dealers all employ locally, and many of those jobs are year-round and skilled rather than seasonal. Healthcare is the other anchor: Winchester District Memorial Hospital and the long-term care sector are steady, significant employers in a town this size. Add light manufacturing, the trades, retail and professional services, and there's genuinely more here than people assume.

Winchester also sits close enough to Ottawa that commuting is realistic — around 40 minutes on a good day. That gives you options. But it cuts both ways: if you'd rather not spend two hours a day in the car, it's worth knowing what's available in North Dundas first. That's a conversation we're happy to have.
