Before & After School Early Childhood Educator

The Before & After School Educator is responsible for planning and delivering high-quality, play-based programming that supports the developmental needs, safety, and well-being of children. The Educator ensures compliance with Ministry of Education licensing requirements, organizational policies, and health and safety standards while fostering positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.

* Diploma in Early Childhood Education (preferred)
* Registered and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE) (if applicable)
* Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification
* Vulnerable Sector Check completed within the last 6 months
* Knowledge of play-based learning and child development ‘How Does Learning Happen?’
* Ability to meet the physical demands of working with young children (i.e. lifting 50lbs)
* Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and routines
* Immunizations up to date (MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Hepatitis B, TB skin test)
* Commitment to following policies, procedures, and best practices in childcare
