Early Childhood Educator

The Supply Educator is responsible for providing high-quality, play-based programming and supervision on a casual, on-call basis across multiple childcare sites. This role supports the safety, well-being, and engagement of children while following Ministry of Education licensing requirements, organizational policies, and health and safety standards. Supply Educators report to the supervisor of the site where they are scheduled.

* Diploma in Early Childhood Education (preferred)
* Registered and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE) (if applicable)
* Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification
* Vulnerable Sector Check completed within the last 6 months
* Knowledge of play-based learning and child development ‘How Does Learning Happen?’
* Ability to meet the physical demands of working with young children (i.e. lifting 50lbs)
* Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and routines
* Immunizations up to date (MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Hepatitis B, TB skin test)
* Commitment to following policies, procedures, and best practices in childcare
